I am almost NEVER out of my carrier. I use it to Rat, Mine, Explore, Haul, Gate Camp and Fight the War. The beauty of a Carrier is its versatility.

I fight to kill Bob. Gangs of 50 or less don't happen in that fight. Try 200+, with me running Gang modules, and you're closer to the way I use it.
3. Do you think you should be able to go 1 vs 5 and win? How about 1 v 10? In other words, how many people do you believe you should be able to kill alone taking ship types into consideration. How many BS/BC's/Cruisers/Etc?
As stated eleqouently above, 5 BS are dead. 10 BS would probably be dead. One damm Jammer ship though, and I'm useless.
4. Do you believe that you should be able to kill a large amount of ships simply because you spent a lot of money and skill time for the ship, regardless of it's designed role (this does not just include carriers)?
The carriers role IS to kill large amounts of large ships. Yes, I have max skills so I expect that to play a big role.
5. Do you believe carriers have too little (solo) firepower, too much, or just enough?
Even in a Gallente Carrier with Carrier V and Fighters V, my DPS is only about 3000 or so. The DAMAGE is not really extreme, its the HITPOINTS you have to do to stop the damage that makes Carriers powerful. So I actually say too little damage, expecially against small ships.
6. What do you believe a carriers role is?
To Control Space. Its a System defense tool, and a Force Projection tool.
7. Do you believe the carrier achieves this role through it's current abilities?
Carriers shouldn't have to hide from a couple frigs or HACs. There is NOTHING you can to to a HAC with a Carrier, except play bait. Give us weapons that anniliate small ships, without having to spend 2 bill on an Officer SmartBomb.
8. What would you change about the carrier if this drone change came into effect? Increased Repair Range? Increased Repair Amount? A Triage buff to allow control of the 5 fighters/drones you're able to deploy? The ability to control 5 additional fighters/drones if Triage Mode is activated? Less Cap needed for self rep/remote rep? (add what you believe would be a change worthy of the suggested drone change)
The propose change would mean that I would not fly a Carrier. Simple as that. I cannot imagine any boost that would offset this completely devestating nerf. I don't care if you don't want to hear it, but I might actually park/sell/quit because of it. Its the worst change EVER.
It the suggested change goes live, I honestly might consider selling my Character and buying another. That is a VERY hard choice for me to make as I've played just this one toon for 3 years. But it is SO crippling that I would have to find another way to have fun. EVERYTHING I do would be compromised, except for hauling.
This MegaNerf prevents me from playing Eve solo. Not just 'its a good idea to have support' or 'You're using it stupidly' ... It PREVENTS its use! For example, I'll mine with 14 Harvesters. The yield is comparable to a Covetor. Suddenly I've got 5 Harvesters...I'd be better off in an Osprey. I Rat...suddenly it will take me 3 times longer to kill stuff, and the only reason I'm risking my ship is cuz of the storage capacity. I wont accept the 'get a gang mate' idea. I want to be able to do things alone. Its bad enough having to get a Cyno to move around...now I gotta reduce my earnings by 2/3 just cuz CCP don't want me to Rat?
So I won't indulge ANY discussion of 'well, if it happens how could you compensate?' ZuluPark should be fired or at least demoted back into a non-EVE-Breaking hole.
